Steve Feinberg: Cerberus Capital

In 1992, Steve Feinberg and William L. Richter joined together to found Cerberus Capital Management, starting with only $10 million under management. Feinberg has managed the firm since its founding.

Later alliances with J. Ezra Merkin helped very much to raise capital. Subsequent hiring of former politicians and lobbyists John Snow, Dan Quayle and others have opened doors in Washington and abroad.

Cerberus Capital Management, L.P., together with its affiliates, is one of the world’s leading private investment firms. Cerberus provides both financial resources and operational expertise to help transform undervalued companies into industry leaders for long-term success and value creation. Cerberus holds controlling or significant minority interests in many companies around the world.

Cerberus’s headquarters are in New York City and it has many offices in the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. It invests in the following industries: financial services, business services, manufacturing, health care, technology, telecom, automotive, consumer products, logistics, software, mortgage and others.
