Founded in 1904 and based in Michigan, the American Concrete Institute (ACI) is a nonprofit technical and educational society and an international leader on concrete technology. It develops concrete knowledge through: seminars; the management of certification programs; and the publication of technical documents. It currently has 99 chapters and 20,000 members throughout 108 countries. It also acts as a forum for discussing all concrete-based matters as well as problem-solving. The vehicle for this includes: the ACI Structural Journal; the ACI Materials Journal; Concrete International and more. Its mission is to: “provide knowledge and information for the best use of concrete.”
