Bob Ostryniec became Chief Supply Chain Officer – a newly-appointed position – of H.J. Heinz Company in 2010. His responsibilities include: encouraging global initiatives to increase the company’s worldwide presence; decrease costs; improve gross margins and productivity. According to Chairman, President and CEO William R. Johnson, “Bob’s appointment reflects his exceptional performance in optimizing savings and efficiency in the Company’s North American supply chain while building best-in-class supply chain processes.” Other responsibilities Ostryniec has in this role include: strategic leadership on international supply chain issues and opportunities; developing international capacity to achieve competitive advantage; developing top class supply chain processes, metrics, tools and systems. Ostryniec has been with the company since July 2003.
