Since January of 2009, Carol Bartz has been the CEO and a member of the Board of Directors at Yahoo!. As of April of 2009, she became the President of the company. Before she joined Yahoo! as the CEO, she was executive chairman of the board of Autodesk, Inc. She was the chairman, president and CEO of Autodesk for 14 years. During her time there, the company diversified its product line and grew revenues from $285 million to $1.523 billion in FY06.
Prior to this work, Carol Bartz was a vice president of worldwide field operations and executive officer at Sun Microsystems.
She holds an honors degree in computer science from the University of Wisconsin. In addition, Carol Bartz holds a number of honorary degrees. She has an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, an honorary Doctor of Science degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an honorary Doctor of Letters degree from William Woods University.
