Carol Meyrowitz, is today the CEO, Director and President of TJX Companies, Inc., having started at the company back in 1983.  It took her about 20 years to get on a rung on the executive ladder, when she first became VP and President of Marmaxxx, the company’s largest division. Three years after that she became Senior Executive VP.  She then left the company, but stayed connected, being a consultant which was how she intended to remain. However, in 2006 she was offered the position of President for the company and a year later, CEO and Chairman.
