President of Nickelodeon and MTV Networks’ Kids & Family Group, Cyma Zarghami, joined the company in a clerical capacity in 1985. She worked her way up through the company in various programming and managerial capacities. Eleven years after she joined the company, she became General Manager for Nickelodeon, with responsibilities for: acquisitions, marketing, programming and scheduling. In 1997 she became the company’s GM and Executive VP; seven years later, President. In that capacity – while being head of creativity, marketing and programming – Zarghami supervised the network’s production and development. In 2006 following Herb Scannell’s resignation, she became the newly formed Kids & Family Group’s president.
