David Shaw: D. E. Shaw

David Shaw is the founder of D. E. Shaw and the Chief Scientist at D. E. Shaw Reserch.  Fortune magazine described this as “the most intriguing and mysterious force on Wall Street,” giving him the nickname “King Quant” due to what D. E. Shaw has done in the quantitative trading industry. The company was established in 1998.
