Dr. Ralf Speth became CEO of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) in 2010. Following that appointment, he was selected to be a Non-Executive Director on the Tata Motors Board. He has made a hugely positive impact on the company since accepting these executive positions. Prior to his leadership, the company wasn’t doing well at all. Once the company was bought out by Tata Motors in 2008, people on tight credits were no longer purchasing cars. When Tata Motors went deep into the red, JLR looked set to go under too. But once Speth took over, things did a 180 degree turnaround. With him at the helm, sales are booming, and the mood is optimistic. He has upgraded all nine JLR models, and established a new strategy for growth.
