Francesco Paolo Fulci is President of Ferrero SpA, as well as being a retired Italian diplomat. Other roles he has held during his career that assist him in his current position include: Permanent Representative of Italy to the UN; VP and then President of the ECOSOC – the UN Economic and Social Council; a member of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child; Italian Ambassador to the UN; President of the Security Council. During his time at the UN, Fulci was a co-founder of what became known as the “Coffee Club,” which was an incredibly powerful group of countries that in the 1990s was established in order to act against the escalation of a long-term Security Council membership. Its aim was instead to expand the temporary seats.
