George C. Eads is an economist and senior-level executive, with more than three decades of experience in corporate management teaching. Eads currently sits as the Vice President and Chief Economist at General Motors Corporation. He also served as Vice President of CRA Charles River Associates until recently.
He received a BA in Economics from the University of Colorado, as well as a MA and PhD in Economics from Yale University. He has since taught as a professor at both Harvard University and George Washington University, and is a member of the U.S. President’s Council of Economic Advisors as well as several other National Research Council study committees.
Eads has published, researched and taught several works on industrial organization, transportation, government regulation and its impact on industry and government technology policy, including ‘Local Service Airline Experiment’, ‘Relief or Reform?: Reagan’s Regulatory Dilemma’ and ‘Designing Safer Products Corporate Responses to Product Liability Law and Regulation.’
