Henry Bourne Joy

Born in Michigan in 1864, Henry Bourne Joy was the President of the Packard Motor Car Company and principal organizers of the Lincoln Highway Association, whose goal was to build a concrete road from San Francisco to New York. Joy was also instrumental in the construction of the Dixie Highway in Florida, a north-south road. He was also an influential leader on both sides of the prohibition of alcohol debate.

Joy was also involved in the development of the Liberty airplane motor. Henry Joy died in 1936.
