Jeffrey W. Ubben: ValueAct Capital

Jeffrey W. Ubben is the co-founder of ValueAct Capital, a San Francisco-based hedge fund. Since the company’s founding in 2000 he has also served as CEO and CIO. Since Ubben has determined the firm to focus on long-term investments, it generally only makes just 3 or 4 investments per annum, holding approximately 15 positions, with the average holding period for each position being around three years. In March 2016, almost all the remaining 11.8 million shares of the company was sold to Adobe Systems $1+ billion.
