John Culver is Group President of Starbucks China–Asia Pacific Region, Channel Development and Emerging Brands. This makes him responsible for the firm’s international Channel Development and Emerging Brands portfolio as well as supervising the growth of the company’s fastest-growing retail segment in China and the Asia Pacific region. Prior to his current role, Culver was instrumental in developing the talent, business model and infrastructure needed for the company’s growth. It was Culver who successfully helped the firm gain entry into India and Vietnam. From 2009-2011, he was President of Starbucks Coffee International, heading teams in the company’s management, business development and operations in all markets outside America. With the backing of his team, he has helped build a strong foundation for the company’s growth. Other roles Culver has had include: President of Starbucks Coffee Asia Pacific; Vice President and General Manager; President of Global Consumer Products and Foodservice and more. He has been with the company since August 2002.
