Karl Lagerfeld is creative director and head designer for Chanel.  He trained as an artist, photographer and fashion designer in Paris.  He takes photos of advertising campaigns for both Chanel and Fendi every season. In 2005, Lagerfeld was the subject of Signé Chanel, a French reality show which covered the 2004-5 Fall/Winter couture collection for Chanel which thereafter aired on Sundance Channel.
