Born in 1944 in Germany, Lore Harp was able to build a $35 million business in less than five years working from her suburban home. Harp created Vector Graphics in 1976, a company that provided personal computer systems for small businesses. Harp was a marketing genius with an uncanny ability to build personal relationships with the just-getting-started personal computer dealer network. These talents set her way apart from her competitors. In 1981 Vector Graphics went public and Lore Harp become one of the first women to head a company listed on the New York Stock Exchange. The stunning rise of this pioneering company was ended in 1984 when IBM and other computer giants devoured Vector Graphics along with other small businesses in this sector.
Lore Harp received her BA and MBA from Pepperdine University in California.
