Mark Parker was appointed the third CEO of Nike, Inc., in 2006. Prior to this role, he held other top level positions in the company. These include: Division Vice President (during which time he was responsible for development); Corporate VP; GM; and VP of Global Footwear. As well, Parker was the company’s co-president of the Nike Brand. His commitment to Nike is that all its activities are environmentally-conscious, and, with this in mind, a decade after he started his career at the company, the “Green Shoe” was launched – a footwear that is in line with sustainability principles.
