Michael Antonov is an entrepreneur, investor and software architect. He is the founder of biotech investment firm Formic Ventures, a venture capital firm he established in June 2020. Prior to that he was CTO, lead architect, Senior Software Architect and co-founder at Scaleform Corporation; a firm bought out by Autodesk Inc in 2011. The following year he co-founded Oculus (bought out by Facebook in 2014) where he also held the role of Chief Software Architect. In 2018 he spent a year at Facebook as a Software Engineer. Philanthropically Antonov is very committed to human life quality enhancement and as such in 2014, founded – and operates – the Michael Antonov Charitable Foundation. The organization funds biotech research and related causes that have this same goal.
