Having been with Pitney Bowes since 1987, Murray Martin has held various senior management positions, including COO. Three years after joining the company he became President of Pitney Bowes Copier Systems. During this time, Martin has expanded the company’s reach within the customer communications management arena, including mail services and work-sharing on acquiring PSI; software with the acquisition of Group 1; marketing services with the acquisition of Imagitas and AAS/PMH; and location intelligence with the acquisition of MapInfo. With Martin at the helm, Pitney Bowes has produced major technological innovations such as: active patents with applications in many markets like: printing, shipping, encryption, and financial services. He himself holds various patents including patents for a closed loop postage metering system and for encoding, protecting and recovering the mail address block image.
