As Intel Corporation’s fifth CEO, Paul S. Otellini was appointed to the position in 2005. Other executive positions he held in the company were President, COO, and a member of the board of directors. But he has been with Intel since 1974, so has also worked in many divisions of the company, including its PC and microprocessor section as well as sales and marketing. Under his leadership, one of Intel’s goal is to “usher in a new era when portable wireless computing is available anytime, anywhere.” As well, Otellini seeks to bring “the next billion people online with affordable computers tailored to their needs.”
