Stuart K. Hensley was born in 1917 and died in 1995. He was born in Florida, and made his mark at the Warner-Lambert Company. Hensley was able to expand the company significantly and successfully by making shrewd acquisitions of such firms as Parke-Davis, American Optical Company and Vister. Through these acquisitions Warner-Lambert’s international footprint was also enlarged.
Under the strong leadership of Hensley revenues and earning more than doubled. Sales went from $650 million in 1967 when Hensley took over to $1.4 billion in 1972. Earnings soared also from $51 million to $122 million in the same five year time period.
