Yves-Andre Istel has a degree in economics from Princeton University. He was the Managing Director and a member of the board of Lehman Brothers from 1977 until 1983. From 1984-1988 he was the Co-Chairman of First Boston International. From 1988 until 1992 he was the Chairman of Wasserstein Perella & Co International and he was then the Vice Chairman of Rothchild Inc. from 1993 until 2002. Yves-Andre Istel is currently a Senior Advisor to Rothchild Inc. and is a member of its Investment Banking Committee. He is also a Senior Advisor on the Board of Directors of Analog Devices, Inc.
In addition, Yves-Andre Isel is involved in many other organizations and activities. He is Chairman of the Advisory Board of Remarque Institute, New York University; the Center for French Civilization and Culture, New York University; the European Institute and more.
In addition to his extensive and impressive business background and involvement, Yves-Andres Istel is also involved in a wide variety of charitable organizations and other activities. He is on the Board of Directors of Action Against Hunger, USA. Together with ACF International, Action Against Hunger is a global humanitarian organization that is committed to ending world hunger.
They work in a large range of capacities to enhance the lives of those in undernourished, impoverished locations around the world. They do so by providing communities with access to safe water and sustainable solutions to hunger. They run programs in over 40 countries, benefiting five million people each year.
